The 1950 Ford Crestliner was a trimmed-up Tudor with vinyl roof, sweeping two-tone paint treatment, rear fender skirts, and a luxury interior. The Crestliner was introduced as a dream car; it was called a “new star of the highway.” The model was the top of the line of Ford's first all-new postwar cars, set on a midsize 114-inch wheelbase chassis and weighing 3,050 pounds. Its beautiful lines were based on the Tudor coupe, enhanced with elaborate trim.
